OUR Relentless Pursuit To Get Better
HISD Staff/Parents/Guardians:
As you are aware, the Governor, TEA and UIL have released information over the last two days.
TEA has given authority to the governing body of a school system to modify or eliminate mask-related requirements.
TEA has not given authority to stop certain provisions; such as contact tracing, close contact exposure and quarantine requirements.
We have to look at the option of mask removal and all the potential consequences that come with that choice.
Our HISD Board of Trustees will meet on March 22nd to consider action regarding masks.
HISD will continue with ALL current protocols pending board action on
March 22nd.
